Foundational experiences that inform my work include:

• BA Anthropology and Film Studies - I focused on cultural anthropology, environmental archaeology, and filmmaking.

• BSN Nursing – As a former Oncology Nurse, I have been in the room with many patients receiving an unexpected terminal diagnosis, and after the doctor left, it was my job to hold the container for the immediate shock; to provide education and guidance on supportive resources, treatment options, and all the questions they couldn’t form when the doctor was in the room. As a former Hospice Nurse I’ve had the profound honor of holding space for the final stories told of a lifetime, and I’ve had the honor of being there for the final breath. I’ve attended specialized training on KAP or Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for licensed practitioners and am a proponent for the advancement and legalization of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy in end of life spaces.

• Community Herbalist and Holistic Healer – I am in love with plants, our teachers and ancestors. Daily herbal infusions, ceremony, plant spirit medicine, and flower essences have offered beautifully simple and profound healing in my life. I formally entered a relationship with the plants through my studies at Florida School of Holistic Living.

• The Nine Keys School of Death Arts and Death Midwifery program showed me the bridge to creating sustainable futures for those in death care, myself included. It was pivotal in providing the framework and the permission to grieve the losses I experienced personally and via vicarious trauma as a nurse.

• Astrologer and Certified Relocation Astrologer - My first natal chart reading was when I was a week old. That chart is taped to the inside of my baby book (it said I would be in medicine.) Astrology has helped me cultivate understanding and compassion in personal relationships, and has guided my life’s direction. Astrocartography is a wonderfully technical specialization in astrology; studying the relationship between space, time, and place feeds my soul on many levels, especially through the lens of analyzing, integrating, and coming to peace with the past and stories tied to place to inform the spaciousness of the future. Plus Locational Astrology is FUN!  I love helping people find home, juicy vacation spots, places that support healing, community, health, creativity, spirituality, career visibility, and more. Embracing life to the fullest, living your truth and authenticity in places you love is a potent form of death work.
